I am available for custom illustration projects of all kinds. Whether it's a 1-off piece or for an event, I'll work closely with you to create illustrations that meet the brief. My concept art helps bring ideas to life. Whether it's for a gift, product, something else?... my illustrations help visualize concepts and bring them to life.
Previous custom illustrations include: cherished family recipes, family homes, lyric prints, hen-do decor and stationary, wedding save the dates, invites, stationary and other special occasion gifts (wedding, birthday, engagement, anniversary, new home) cards and prints.
Typically these have been shared digitally and printed for framed gifts, large-scale banners, jigsaw puzzles or other products.

Squidbopp creations come in home décor prints and postcards (at the moment!). I’m inspired to create these pieces by the love of pattern, pop-culture, Scottish banter and iconic TV moments!
All prints are are printed on 350 gsm off white matte paper
Home décor prints are all A4
Greetings cards are all A6 and printed as postcards in order to be used as a greetings card or a print (All cards come with envelope).
Family trees and history
Every family has a unique story to tell - a tapestry woven from ancestral origins, treasured traditions, challenges overcome, moments of joy... iconic aunties etc. But too often, these precious tales remain hidden in dusty photo albums (usually in the attic) or fragmented accounts passed down (usually from your wee Granny).
I'm on a mission to create a vibrant, visual way to bring your family narrative to life through custom-illustrated family trees and storybooks. Perfect for igniting children's curiosity or celebrating momentous occasions like anniversaries and reunions or for having framed in your home.
The process: through a collaborative call, I'll gather the threads of your family history - all stories and adventures included. Unearth heirlooms, recount fondly remembered anecdotes, and uncover genealogy surprises together.
Next, I'll illustrate the detail to capture the essence of your clan. Whether honoring those hardy roots or celebrating modern branches, each commission is an art piece made to cherish for generations.

Illustration and design
I'm Rachel. I'm a self-taught illustrator based in Glasgow, Scotland, aiming to bring a whimsical and playful style to what I create. As a child, I always had a pencil in hand, designing, sketching and creating. After graduating in psychology and events tourism at university, and starting my career, I reignited my passion for creating. Over the past couple years, I taught myself digital illustration and founded squidbopp - a bubble of fun, funky designs, all accompanied by my mischievous cat, Mani. My goal is to create thoughtful, imaginative pieces that combine meaningful memories with lighthearted whimsy. I'm excited to continue learning and growing as an artist, celebrating my Scottish roots along the way.
